Pierce, the e-commerce company that sells gear, accessories and spare parts to motorcycle riders across Europe through the online stores 24MX, XLMOTO and Sledstore, has grown rapidly since the start in 2009. Three years ago, Pierce opened its European warehouse- and fulfilment centre in Poland. Now Pierce takes an additional step forward by more than doubling its warehouse space to 27 000 sqm.
Pierce grew Net revenues in the first quarter 2019 by 36 percent. Net revenues amounted to 268 million SEK compared to 197 million SEK in the first quarter of 2018. Net revenues for the full year 2018 amounted to 943 million SEK. In the first quarter of 2019, the company passed the 1 billion SEK milestone in Net revenues on a rolling twelve-month basis.
“The first quarter is typically tougher for us. The winter cold doesn’t offer the best circumstances to sell products to motorcycle riders. Despite this, we delivered strong revenues in Q1. A large part of the success comes from continued strong growth in south- and central Europe”, says Henrik Zadig, CEO of Pierce.
Pierce operates its own warehouse- and fulfilment centre. The centralized facility, that initially amounted to 11 500 sqm, has now been expanded to 27 000 sqm to meet the strong customer demand. In connection to the opening of the expanded warehouse space, Pierce hosted an e-commerce day with focus on e-commerce logistics.
To be able to quickly serve customers, Pierce’s warehouse- and fulfilment centre is open 24/7 which also reduces the need for additional warehouse space for the business.
“By picking and packing during all hours of the day, we serve our customers faster and at the same time maintain lower costs. We deliver the right product, in the right quantity, on time, more often. This results in increased customer satisfaction, increased customer retention, and lowered costs for customer service and returns” says Henrik Zadig, who officially opened the warehouse on April 25.
